Position Profile:

The Clinical Nurse plays a pivotal role in delivering advanced, comprehensive nursing care to paediatric and neonatal patients, operating within the scope of a Registered Nurse. This position serves as a clinical mentor and supervisor to Registered Nurses, Registered Midwives, Enrolled Nurses, and Aboriginal Liaison Officers, fostering a supportive and educational environment. The Clinical Nurse provides guidance, orientation, and education to both staff and patients, exemplifying holistic, patient-centered care. Additionally, the role supports the Clinical Nurse Manager in all facets of unit management, contributing to the coordination, quality improvement, and operational effectiveness of the unit.
