The Role
We are currently seeking a First Class Machinist to join our team and work with one of our highly respected clients, who is based in Maddington, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company and be responsible for welding high-quality products used across multiple industries.

About the Role:

• Immediate work available – ASAP start
• Day shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Workshop-based role in Maddington
• Ongoing opportunity
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity for the right person
• Earn $55 per hour

Skills and Experience Required:

• Must have a Trade Certificate or equivalent in Machining background
• Qualified Machinist with at least 5 years of proven experience
• Experience in Conventional Lathe machines, facing of Pipe Flanges, machining of shafts, putting chamfers on various size and length of pipes
• Basic fitting work involving the installation of threaded rods, bolts, and nuts to secure and connect flanges together
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ensure all tasks are completed within the nominated hours quoted
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine or quality issues, adjusting processes as needed
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Must be able to complete and pass a full pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
