Steelstruct Engineering is a privately owned, highly regarded Western Australian company providing steel fabrication, hardfacing and precision machining services to Australia’s mining and resource markets. We manufacture from our modern, fully equipped workshops strategically located in Henderson (WA) and Rayong (Thailand).

We are currently seeking a 1st Class CNC Machinist to join our busy team located in Henderson for an immediate start.

We have 5 Axis Lathes, 4 & 5 Axis Machine Centers, and CNC Borer operator opportunities available. Applications are invited from qualified Machinists Programmer/Operators (with Mazatrol & Siemens 840D experience preferred but not limited to), who are reliable and want to be part of a growing company with great work variation.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Set up machines and tooling for jobs.

· Programming of machines.

· Optimal operation of machines.

· Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

· Ensuring full compliance to Standards and Client Specifications.

· Working to the quality management system procedures and work instructions.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience, qualifications, and attributes:

· A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role as a qualified trades person.

· Current recognised qualifications.

· An ability to liaise at all levels and ability to work as part of a team.

· Demonstrated written communication skills.

· Competent in reading and interpretation of manufacturing drawings and ITPs.

· Self-discipline and work ethic to operate efficiently within a team or autonomously.

· Solid communication skills to work through issues and negotiate win/win outcomes.
