Our client, a reputable Logistics business, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee one of their clients site operations.
Reporting to the Branch and National Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for organising and managing the operational function of the warehouse (Goods In, Order Preparation, Inventory Movements, Goods Outbound etc.), to optimise efficiency, provide exceptional customer service, and to manage safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the applicable client account, i.e. Goods In, Order Preparation and Dispatch, Inventory Movement, Goods Outbound
- Daily oversight of applicable client account and relevant warehouse and transportation activities
- Query resolution and complaint management, liaising with suppliers and customers, and investigating in line with company Compliance procedure
- Trend root causes of issues for improvement
- Data analyses and trending, providing input into daily and monthly performance analysis (using statistics and MS Excel) and play a part in regular review meetings
- System Accuracy - ensuring system data is up to date and accurate within the agreed timelines and in line with the operating procedures
- Oversight of supplier inventory and transportation reporting
- Oversight and checking of supplier costs
- Manage stock levels in collaboration with customer stakeholders and identify any stock loss/damage and communicate to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Provide information, visibility and reporting to appropriate levels of management as required
- Develop, review, update and maintain SOPs, workflows and processes in line with Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, and communicate to team members as appropriate
To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following:
- Minimum of 5 years' industry experience within a Warehouse environment
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated team supervisor experience
- Experience using a WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Understanding of the full supply chain and logistics lifecycle
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, ensuring resources are managed at optimum capacity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in managing site security and safety obligations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, and manage competing priorities
