About Me
Hello! I am a 47-year-old woman living independently in Wynn Vale. I am looking for calm, reliable, and compassionate support workers to join my team and help me live my best life. I have a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Im looking for friendly and reliable support workers to assist me in achieving my NDIS goals.
I love spending time with my pets (two days and two cats), doing arts & crafts, cooking, and connecting with family. Im working on increasing my social participation and building strong, safe relationships with those around me.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a person-centred support team providing 2:1 support across two daily shifts (9am-1pm and 4pm – 8pm).
I am seeking a Support Worker who are passionate about mental health, enjoy creative activities and are comfortable working in a team environment. You will need to be calm, consistent and able to communicate clearly. You will be helping me with daily living skills, household management, and personal care, while also supporting me to engage in meaningful activities and relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Support me to achieve my goals and reach my potential in all areas of life.
Facilitate life skill development through the implementation of established plans and programs.
Create and maintain a positive, homely environment.
Actively engage in person-centred active support and therapeutic approaches
Maintain accurate records
About You
You might be someone who’s worked in mental health or disability support before, or maybe you are just starting out and have a strong passion for helping others. Either way, we would love to here from you!
We are looking for people who are;
Patient, consistent and resilient
Calm and able to redirect effectively during challenging situations
Creative and enjoy activities like cooking and arts and crafts
Comfortable around animals
Open to learning trauma-informed and person-centred approaches

NDIS Worker Screening
Current Driver's Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
Fluent in written and verbal English communication
