About Me
Hello! I am a 35-year-old woman living with an Intellectual/Psychosocial Disability. I am looking for friendly Support Workers to assist me with assisted daily living tasks including cooking, looking after my home as well as my health and wellbeing. Currently I am working towards developing my life skills and require support in the community for tasks including grocery shopping and attending appointments.
The Role
An Opportunity is available to join my team of wonderful support workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My support workers assist me on a 1:1 model throughout the day.
I am seeking a Support Worker who is wanting to join a team environment. It is important to me that you are willing to engage in attend CLO events and other community activities. I enjoy going bowling, fishing, and shopping.
Key responsibilities:
Assist me with daily living tasks.
Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life.
Support my life skill development through proper implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me.
Actively engage in person centred active support.
Maintain accurate records.
Shifts
I am looking for someone to support me on a part time or casual basis.
The ideal candidate will have:
NDIS Worker Screening
Current Driver's Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
Diabetes Management
Catheter care
About you:
I am looking for a creative and positive person to join my team. A good match for me would be someone who has an efficient and confident approach in what they do and possesses a calm and patient nature. A good sense of humour is also important.
Other requirements:
Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Flexible working hours
Experience in various models of support preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
