Position overview
The Senior WHS Consultant (SWC) will report to a manager within the Safety and Wellbeing (S&W) team and provide WHS consultancy services as well as WHS project delivery in line with the Safety and Wellbeing Strategic Plan. Working within a team of professionals in the S&W team, the SWC will be responsible for completing assigned tasks, delivering projects and providing procedural, work environment, risk assessment and audit services and advice to facilitate effective implementation of the University’ WHSMS.
The SWC will work closely with senior leaders, managers, colleagues and stakeholders across the University community including WHS Committees, subcommittees and other work health and safety specialists in local areas. The SWC will also liaise with key external stakeholders including consultants, contractors, auditors and regulators, other universities and agencies, as required.
