The Role

We're seeking a visionary Senior IT/ Electronic Security Specialist to lead a small, elite team of experts in developing and deploying transformative security solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you'll drive innovation in network and software configurations for mission-critical applications. You'll work directly with military-grade and high-technology sensing equipment, including Radars, Infrared Search and Track (IRST) systems, and biometric technologies. As the head of this exceptional team, you'll mentor talent, oversee projects from conception to deployment, and collaborate with international staff and partners to deliver groundbreaking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of integrated security technology solutions.

Configure and customize software solutions for advanced sensing equipment, including Radars, IRSTs, and biometric identification platforms, to meet evolving client needs.

Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to transform security technologies, such as integrating AI-driven analytics or enhancing real-time threat detection capabilities.

Manage a small team of high-calibre IT and engineering professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence and rapid prototyping.

Conduct on-site installations, troubleshooting, and training for clients, which may involve international travel to secure facilities or field operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including military personnel and R&D partners, to ensure compliance with stringent security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating emerging technologies to maintain our competitive edge in the security sector.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, or equivalent) is an advantage.

8+ years of experience in IT and / or security technology, with proven expertise in network configuration (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, SDN) and software configuration (e.g., custom scripting, API integrations.

Hands-on experience with military or high-tech sensing equipment, including Radars, IRST systems, and biometric technologies (e.g., facial recognition, fingerprinting) would be advantageous.

Strong leadership skills with a track record of heading small teams in fast-paced, innovative environments.

Passion for transforming the security technology industry through disruptive ideas and practical implementations.

Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex, high-stakes technical challenges under pressure.

Willingness to travel internationally as needed, with a valid passport and ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and familiarity with cybersecurity tools and protocols are an advantage.
