An opportunity exists for an experienced PHP API Developer to join a dynamic technology team in Adelaide. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining robust, secure APIs using PHP and Symfony.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers
• Design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance APIs
• Apply best practices for validation, data protection, and transport security
• Maintain API versioning, error handling, and observability (logs, metrics, tracing)
• Document APIs using OpenAPI
• Conduct code reviews and support continuous improvement
• Participate across the full SDLC — from design to deployment and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly

Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience with PHP8+, Symfony, SQL, and OpenAPI
• Knowledge of Oracle or Postgres databases (advantageous)
• Experience with Nginx, Docker, and GitHub
• Familiarity with Linux environments (RedHat preferred)
• Strong problem-solving ability and independent thinking
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Exposure to Kubernetes or Podman (desirable)
