We are seeking an accomplished academic to join our School of Engineering and Technology, College of Project Management, Built Environment, Asset and Maintenance Management (CoPBA) as an Associate Professor in Construction Management and Building Surveying. This is a senior leadership role that combines teaching excellence, research leadership, and industry engagement.

As an Associate Professor, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of construction management and building surveying education and research at the national and international level within the Construction Management & Innovation area. Leading and supervising multi-disciplinary teams with an education and research focus and contribute to the development of a collaborative working environment. You will provide academic leadership, mentor colleagues, and actively contribute to the strategic direction of the discipline, School and University.

You will lead CoPBA College’s internal and external quality assurance and accreditation processes, while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders, industry partners, and professional organisations across Australia and internationally.

Position Requirements

Hold doctoral qualifications (PhD or equivalent) plus significant experience in curriculum development and tertiary teaching methodology of the relevant discipline

Track record of successful research funding applications and attraction of external competitive funds, including Australian Research Council (ARC), with a well-established national and international reputation in research evidenced by sustained funding, industry collaborations and high-quality publications in the field.

Demonstrated excellence in research and proven track record of successful supervision of research higher degree students (RHDs) with evidence of successful completion, with a well-established research profile and industry collaboration

Demonstrated contribution to the BE/CM profession within a relevant sustained leadership role within a wider community context at local, national and international levels, including a leadership role in national/international delivery, accreditation and /or collaboration
