FORKLIFT DRIVER LF Permanent Position

Our client a leading wholesaler for more than 65 years is seeking a full time permanent Forklift driver for their Clayton South Victorian site.

Primary Purpose of the Role

To support the fulfillment of customer orders and maintain the production yard by performing safe and efficient forklift operations, handling and staging of timber packs, and assisting the production team. This role ensures all assigned tasks are completed to the highest level of safety, quality, accuracy, and efficiency, as directed.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities

Conduct daily pre-start checks on all equipment prior to use.

Read and follow requirements accurately; label packs and panels with correct job allocation numbers.

Sort job numbers into allocated bins and understand rack layout.

Wrap, strap, and label packs using a strap gun to ensure loads are secure.

Pick full packs as required and stage them correctly.

Load and unload trucks.

Operate forklifts with side loaders.

Work collaboratively with team members.

Hours of work: 6am – 2.06pm Monday-Friday with overtime available

Required Qualifications and Skills

Current LF Forklift Licence with side loader operation

At least 3 years’ experience in forklift operation in a production or warehouse environment.

Strong understanding of load securing, staging, and dispatch procedures.

Ability to read and interpret job sheets and production paperwork.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable, punctual, and safety focused.

Fit for manual handling duties.
