About the role

Toowoomba Motors Pty Ltd currently require an Automotive Service Technician to perform a range of engine and mechanical tests, to diagnose, repair and service vehicles. In accordance with Toyota servicing and warranty guidelines, and company procedures.

Responsibilities, tasks & duties include:

Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles;

Complete vehicle services as per Toyota's maintenance schedule;

Complete warranty repairs, as required under Toyota warranty procedures including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components;

Repairing and or reconditioning vehicles as directed;

Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to service foreman/controller and record on repair order. Record all relevant written information as required for all service work completed;

Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians;

Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range;

Maintaining a safe working environment , ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment, adhere to WH&S guidelines;

Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to customers;

Providing high level customer service;

Ensuring that all work areas are kept clean, and organised;

Skills and experience

Applicants MUST have the following qualifications and recent employment experience:

Trade qualifications as an Automotive Service Technician;

Minimum 5 years employment experience as a motor mechanic or relevant and related occupation;

Ability to work productively unsupervised;

Highly motivated;

Effective written and verbal communication skills;

Customer Service focused;

Commitment to Toyota's goals and operational standards;

Current valid QLD drivers licence;

Base salary: $76,515.00 – $86,515.00 plus superannuation.
