Permanent Full Time Senior Podiatrist position available!

Ready for a meaningful role that starts with a yarn? Catherine Clarke, 0457 068 615 would love to hear your story and answer any questions you may have about the role.

Tell me more... We know podiatry roles are hard to fill… but this one's got real sole. 😉 If you're ready to swap the city shuffle for reef, rainforest, and relaxation, then Cooktown might just be your perfect fit.

🌴 Why Cooktown?

Where the Great Barrier Reef meets the Daintree Rainforest — Cooktown is as stunning as it is peaceful. Think weekends spent fishing, exploring waterfalls, or watching the sunset from Grassy Hill instead of hunting for a park at Woolies.

It's a small, tight-knit community with a big heart (and plenty of people who'll be very grateful for happy, healthy feet).

🦶 The Role

We're looking for a Senior Podiatrist to bring their experience, leadership, and passion for rural health to the Far North.

You'll provide high-quality podiatric care, mentor junior staff, and help drive service delivery in a unique and rewarding remote setting.

💼 What's on offer

  • Competitive salary + rural & remote incentives
  • Accommodation and Relocation assistance
  • Work-life balance in a laid-back coastal town
  • Supportive, down-to-earth team who genuinely have each other's backs

Torres and Cape will give you a career with purpose, plus excellent benefits and allowances;

  • Base salary comprising between $128,169.00 - $137,918.00 per annum – you may be eligible for additional benefits – refer to Workplace benefits | Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service
  • Competitive salary packaging: Generous employer superannuation contribution of 12.75% and salary packaging options Salary and benefits | Careers (health.qld.gov.au)
  • Generous leave entitlements including 17.5% loading on annual leave
  • Professional Development: Our training is recognised as some of the best in the world
  • Relocation and accommodation incentives

Living within the Torres and Cape region means you will be able to enjoy:

  • Immersing yourself in nature, from the outback to tropical rainforests, coral reefs and extraordinary landscapes.
  • Variety and autonomy in your work
  • Connecting with community and country
  • Short commute to work, allowing greater work/life balance
  • Rich Indigenous Culture
  • Imagine yourself here? Find out about Torres and Cape HHS and the Torres Strait and Cooktown and Cape York regions on the Tropical North Queensland website.
