Moncreiffs Winery is a 10,000T contract winemaking facility located in Nagambie, within the Central Victorian growing region. Our largest customer is McPherson Wines, who are today considered to be a very dynamic company, gaining traction in both international and domestic markets.
Moncreiffs, is unashamedly modern, we make everything in large batches and the winery itself is streamlined to be a slick, efficient operating facility. Reds are made in Vinomatics or SWAPS, and whites are cool fermented and tank matured, however it’s not all boring, we do work hard, but we also try to have fun along the way!

About the role:

We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable casual Cellar Hand to join our winery team. This is a hands-on, physically active role that offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, quality-focused environment. Working amongst a tight knit team, the position involves some shift work all year round; however is typically a 40 hour week outside vintage, with extended hours during the harvest period. This role has the potential to be permanent full time in the future. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A VINTAGE POSITION, START DATE IS ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning of tanks, hoses, fixed lines, and equipment.

Operate and monitor pumps, flowmeters, valves, and filtration equipment such as crossflow filters as trained.

Perform some heaving lifting moving hoses, pumps, equipment, and raw materials around the worksite as required.

Wine and Juice transfers and blending.

Grape receival and crusher operation

Topping up barrels

Loading and Unloading tankers and containers as requested.

Preparing additives, including accurate weighing of ingredients and record keeping.

The ideal candidate will have:

Mechanical aptitude, technically minded with sound reasoning and comprehension

Full drivers licence and the ability to operate a tractor

Forklift licence is desirable

An excellent communicator: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

A team player: work cooperatively with others and contribute to the team.
