About the role

We are seeking an experienced Japanese Chef to join the team at Emmario pty Ltd in Nowra, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of authentic Japanese dishes, ensuring consistent high-quality standards and an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, ramen, and more

Ensure all dishes are presented to the highest standard, adhering to traditional Japanese culinary techniques

Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, food preparation, and kitchen organisation

Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service

Contribute to the development of new menu items and the continuous improvement of existing dishes

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, following all health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Japanese Chef in a high-quality restaurant or catering environment

Formal culinary training or qualifications in Japanese cuisine

Extensive knowledge of Japanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and food presentation

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Passion for creating authentic and delicious Japanese dishes
