About the Role

As Deputy Principal – Primary, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, culture, and educational outcomes of our primary school. You will work closely with the Principal and Executive Leadership Team to foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment.

What you will be doing

Provide strong leadership and oversight of the primary school, collaborating closely with the Principal and the Executive Leadership Team

Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to drive academic excellence

Manage and mentor primary school staff, fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing team

Monitor student progress and wellbeing, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions

Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies, procedures and regulations

Represent the primary school at stakeholder meetings and community events

Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic planning of the College

What we are looking for

Extensive experience in school leadership, with a proven track record as a Deputy Principal or in a similar senior role

Excellent understanding of the Australian educational landscape and curriculum requirements

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students and the wider school community

Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performing teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and nurturing school culture

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, along with a current VIT registration
