About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Kim's Auto Tech' in Wyoming, NSW 2250. As a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of light vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and running at peak performance.

What you'll be doing

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on light vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake system checks

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in light vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques

Communicate effectively with customers, providing them with clear explanations of issues and recommended repairs

Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in a workshop or dealership environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers

A keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and industry trends

A valid driver's licence and the ability to work in Australia
