About the role

As a Senior Accountant at A J Blake & Co, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's diverse client base. This full-time position is based in Mount Waverley, VIC , providing an opportunity to work closely with our experienced team and contribute to the strategic growth of the business.

What you'll be doing

Provide high-level Accounting and SMSF advisory services to our clients

Prepare and review complex financial statements and tax returns for a range of clients

Contribute to the development and Implementation of commercial structures to assist clients in achieving their business and personal goals

Supervise staff when required, enabling a high level of service delivery

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's processes and procedures

Collaborate with the broader team to identify business opportunities and expand our client base

Skills and experience

5+ years of post-qualification experience in public practice or a professional services environment

Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and SMSF advisory

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

Experience using BGL Simple Fund, MYOB and XERO accounting software

Experience with more complex tax areas such as Div 7A, Capital Gains Tax and FBT

Keen interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends and legislative changes

CPA or CA qualification
