Site Manager – large unit development nr Southport

Work for a leading tier 2 contractor with an excellent project portfolio Gold Coast and in Brisbane

Initially manage a 6-level 60-unit tower. This is one of several stages on this development with 6 years’ worth of work on this project!

Must have a Site Supervisors license.

Permanent Position l Salary from $180,000 to $200,000 + Super

Long term position, manage multiple stages of this projects

Immediate requirement for a Site Manager to join this QLD based building contractor with several upcoming projects on the Gold Coast. The business has over 100 employees in QLD and has a strong pipeline in unit and townhouse construction projects. Initially you will be the Site Manager running a 6 level, 1 lvl basement on a large development near Southport. This is part of a long-term projects across multiple stages with multiple towers planned.

As the number 1 Site Manager on the project, reporting into the Project Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the construction project. Your duties will include;

Management of the full life cycle of the construction project from early works, structure through to finishes.

Give direction to site foreman and labourers

Reading construction plans and drawings.

Management of crane towers and logistical issues

Strong understanding and implementation of OH&S management and Site safety

Direction and management of multiple sub-contractors

Work closely and have regular correspondence with the Project Manager

Can assist with the construction programme ensuring the project is delivered on-time and within budget – weekly and monthly programme meetings

To be suitable for this position, it is expected you will possess the following skills.

Will have a Trade / Carpentry background and progressed through to a Site Management position.

Able to demonstrate experience running similar high rise residential unit construction projects as a Site Manager.

A QLD Builders License or Supervisors license

Must have experience of managing high rise unit construction projects, ideally on the Gold Coast.

Will have worked for reputable building contractors and/or builder developers.

Will be proficient in using Procore

A strong understanding of structure as well as a high-end finish.

Must have managed site foreman (structures and finishes).

Can demonstrate an ability to manage a team of site staff.

Will be available to start a new position in the next 2-6 weeks.

Will be confident, a strong communicator and have a positive attitude

Will have basic computer literacy skills
