About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at S M Accountants and Associates' in Glenroy, Victoria. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in providing high-quality taxation and accounting services to our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and lodging tax returns for individual and business clients

Providing tax planning advice and recommendations to minimise tax liabilities

Managing client accounts, including bookkeeping, invoicing and payroll

Conducting financial analysis and reporting to support client decision-making

Liaising with clients to understand their financial needs and objectives

Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations

Contributing to the continuous improvement of our accounting processes and systems

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field

CPA or undertaking qualification is prefered.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting or taxation role

Strong technical skills in taxation, accounting, and financial analysis

Excellent communication and client service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Proficient with accounting softwares, particularly Xero and Microsoft Office suite
