The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions lawyer to join a global leader in building materials and sustainable construction solutions. Working within a high-performing in-house legal team, this role will support a range of strategic corporate initiatives and transactions through the summer period.
You will play a key role in advising on end-to-end M&A matters, including due diligence, term sheets, transaction documentation, and regulatory engagement with FIRB and the ACCC. This position offers exposure to complex, high-value deals within a major multinational organisation, where you’ll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external advisers to deliver successful commercial outcomes.
Key Requirements
At least 9+ years PQE in corporate, M&A, or transactional work gained in a top-tier, mid-tier, or reputable in-house environment.
Strong experience across due diligence, term sheets, deal documents, and regulatory processes (including FIRB and ACCC).
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
Commercially minded and capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Based in Sydney with capacity to work onsite four days per week (full-time preferred, open to four days).
