SUMMARY
Opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join a leading e‑commerce company on a 12-month contract in Sydney CBD. This role supports an internal business project across Australia, focusing on commercial contracts, policy review and regulatory compliance. It’s a full-time position with hybrid working flexibility for an immediate start.

THE ROLE
You will provide commercial legal support for an internal project within the local operations of a leading e‑commerce company. This is a full‑time, 12-month contract based in Sydney CBD, with hybrid working flexibility.

Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts

Assess current policies and procedures and recommend updates to ensure alignment with corporate group requirements and local regulations

Draft and implement revised policies and procedures in line with consumer laws

Provide timely legal advice to stakeholders to support decision‑making and project progress

Support project management to meet milestones and ensure accurate documentation

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced commercial lawyer with a proven record in fast-paced commercial environments and the ability to work efficiently with stakeholders to progress projects.

6+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial law

Skilled in contract review, drafting and negotiation

Prior experience with consumer law, such as legal review of marketing materials and unfair contract terms, will be beneficial

Ability to manage deliverables and timelines; project management experience advantageous

Confident communicator engaging with stakeholders across multiple business units

Proactive, organised, able to work independently while supporting team objectives
