About the Company:
Monash Auto Body is a well-established automotive repair workshop located in Clayton, Victoria. We are specialists in collision repairs, structural bodywork, spray painting, and refinishing for a wide range of vehicles. Due to increasing demand, we are looking to expand our team with multiple full-time Panel Beaters and Vehicle Spray Painters.

Panel Beaters

Key Responsibilities:

Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess extent of repairs required

Dismantling damaged components and panels

Repairing dents, scratches, and deformities to bodywork

Realigning vehicle frames and unibodies

Replacing irreparable parts and reassembling components

Performing sanding, filing, and polishing as needed

Ensuring quality control on all completed work

Following all OH&S practices and maintaining a clean work area

Requirements:

Trade qualification in panel beating or at least 3 years’ relevant work experience

Ability to work independently and efficiently

Strong attention to detail and precision in repairs

Sound knowledge of vehicle structures and body repair techniques

Vehicle Spray Painters

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, including masking and sanding

Mixing and matching paint colours to manufacturer specifications

Applying primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray booth equipment

Polishing and buffing surfaces to produce high-quality finishes

Carrying out touch-ups and paint corrections as required

Performing quality checks to ensure finished work meets industry standards

Maintaining spray equipment and ensuring compliance with OH&S and environmental guidelines

Requirements:

Trade qualification in spray painting or minimum 3 years’ relevant experience

Proficient in automotive painting techniques and use of spray booth systems

Excellent eye for colour and finish quality

Reliable, team-oriented and able to work under minimal supervision
