Job Description
- Full-time, ongoing | Monday to Friday, 9am–5:06pm
- Services are delivered across four sites in South East Melbourne, with outreach and after-hours work
- Salary: $55.97–$58.45 per hour (SACS Level 6 pp 1-3) + 12% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550
About the Program
Our Family Violence team is part of Each’s Child, Youth & Family Wellbeing stream. We support children and families to heal from family violence, offering confidential counselling and practical support to help process experiences, build confidence and safety, strengthen family bonds, and connect with community. Services are delivered across four sites in South East Melbourne, with outreach and after-hours work based on program needs.
Your role, your impact
As Team Leader, you will lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of practitioners and peer workers, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused services for families affected by violence and trauma. You will build confidence and safety for clients, strengthen family bonds, and connect families with their communities. Your leadership will help create a safe space for healing and growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, support, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical and operational supervision, training, and guidance.
- Ensure services are customer-focused and of high quality, complying with all standards.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate systems for inclusive and flexible service delivery, including intake, assessment, engagement, case planning, intervention, review, and referral or closure.
- Manage daily operations of the Children & Family Violence Team, including caseload coordination, team meetings, and supervision.
- Continuously assess and review risk and safety concerns using the Child Wellbeing and MARAM framework.
- Oversee data management, risk reporting, and quality improvement processes.
- Monitor performance and evaluate outcomes, implementing solutions for high-quality service delivery.
- Effectively manage client complaints.
- Collaborate and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance outcomes.
- Coordinate group programs and workshops.
- Ensure compliance and reporting for all program activities.
- Support staff with regular meetings, supervision, and professional development.
- Travel locally to Each locations and participate in outreach and after-hours work as required.
Who we’re looking for
- Experience leading a team supporting families affected by trauma, separation, abuse, or loss.
- Sector knowledge of children and family violence services and compliance requirements.
- Mandatory: Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with MARAM, Child Wellbeing Framework, mandatory reporting, privacy laws, and ethical standards.
- Valid driver’s license.
