Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia’s largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based primarily at our Tatura Office, with the flexibility to work from other GMW offices or remotely from home. The role sits within the Property Services Group, and plays a key part in supporting GMW’s responsibilities as both a statutory referral authority and a public land manager.
You will be responsible for the administration and technical assessment of planning permit applications. You’ll provide expert advice and responses on behalf of GMW, ensuring that all planning matters align with legislative requirements and organisational objectives. This includes interpreting complex planning documents, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the sustainable management of land and water resources across our region.

What You'll Do:
Provide the main customer interface for internal and external enquiries
Apply professional planning, environmental and technical knowledge to planning permit applications, associated forms and general planning documentation
Provide technical assessment and response to low to medium risk planning permit applications
What we’re Looking For:
Experience in planning, environmental and/or property matters
Desirable but not mandatory to hold relevant tertiary qualifications or experience
