Salary: $75,619 - $77,214pa + Super

We are seeking an experienced civil construction worker who is skilled in ‘grader operations’ to join our highly skilled and diverse Civil Construction Team to work across Councils region and play a pivotal role in the delivery of Council’s unsealed road maintenance program.
Our area is rural, features a good portion of the internationally renowned Barossa Valley, some iconic historic townships, and settlements as well as rapidly expanding developments, particularly the Roseworthy Township, offering a diversity of road networks and civil works to keep the role interesting and challenging.
This role is based at Freeling, about 15 minutes from Gawler.
What the role entails:
Patrol Grading of council’s unsealed road network
Construction grading of new roads (as required)
Assisting with the maintenance of Council’s stormwater drainage and general maintenance
Truck driving duties including relieving duties
Carrying out maintenance and minor repairs on plant and equipment
What we are looking for:
An experienced patrol grader or road construction final trim operator
HC Licence
Verification of competency or licence in Grader Operations
A Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent fields (highly desirable)
Earthmoving plant tickets (highly desirable)
White Card (highly desirable)
Work Zone Traffic Mangement Card (highly desirable)
Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic, with an ability to maintain diplomacy and professionalism with a customer service focus.
