Centacare Kimberley is looking for a Transitional Housing Support Worker in our Broome office.

The key aim of the Transitional Housing Program is to build financial independence for Aboriginal people living in the communities of Broome and Derby by providing opportunities for eligible Participants to develop the skills and support networks they need to be able to transition into private rental or affordable home ownership.

Applicants should have experience and/or a qualification in financial counselling or a social or community services field. As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organization we strongly encourage Aboriginal people to apply for this roles.

ESSENTIAL:

Experience working with individuals, couples and families associated with language groups from across the Kimberley region.

Demonstrated ability to support people through the use of a structured case management framework.

Effective communication and people engagement skills and the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.

Ability to work as an effective team member.

Experience working within program guidelines and organisational policies and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs, and the capacity to record effective case notes and collect service data and write quality reports.

Provide a current National Police Clearance and “Working with Children Check Clearance.”

Current Western Australian “C” class motor vehicle driver licence.
