Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across the finance function. You’ll work closely with an experienced team in an environment that supports learning, encourages collaboration, and offers clear career progression pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of accurate general ledger records.
• Preparation of BAS, FBT, and payroll tax returns, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements.
• Assist with year-end accounts and audit processes.
• Oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciliations, approvals, and process improvements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and provide variance analysis and financial insights to aid business decision-making.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate:

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a commercial or owner-led business.
• Solid understanding of Australian accounting and tax compliance standards.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero etc.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing, high-performing team.

Please note: This role is based fully on-site. While there is flexibility for occasional ad-hoc remote work to accommodate personal circumstances, there is no formal hybrid arrangement.
