Accounts Receivable Officer

Location: Sutherland Shire

Hours: 24 hours per week, Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday (10:00am to 4:00pm)

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of the Accounts Receivable function while maintaining a great work-life balance. You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient receivable operations.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, from raising invoices to payment allocation and reconciliation
• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, maintaining strong, positive relationships with customers
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure data accuracy
• Prepare and maintain reports in Excel and assist with month-end tasks
• Collaborate with the broader finance team and support other administrative duties as needed
• Take initiative in suggesting process improvements and more efficient ways of working

About You

You're someone who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication. You enjoy building good rapport with both internal and external stakeholders and thrive in a supportive environment where you can work independently but also be part of a great team.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Solid experience (ideally 3+ years) in Accounts Receivable
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence in using Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP systems a bonus)
• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a collaborative team
