Recycle Mate is a national recycling and resource recovery education platform connecting communities, councils, and brands. Through our app, website, and campaigns, we deliver clear, data-driven recycling advice to millions of Australians — empowering smarter recycling and supporting councils and businesses to engage their communities.

We’re seeking a motivated and organised Partnerships & Engagement Officer to support our Program Lead in managing partner relationships and delivering meaningful community engagement.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with local government, sustainability programs, and behaviour-change campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Support onboarding and management of councils, brands, and program partners.

Maintain accurate partner records and assist with contracts, invoicing, and renewals.

Coordinate newsletters, social campaigns, and digital/print collateral for community engagement.

Provide support for events, conferences, and partner activations (in person or virtual).

Manage community enquiries and coordinate responses with the team.

Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate partner data and consistent messaging.

Skills & Experience

Experience in local government, partnerships, or community engagement (waste/recycling desirable).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Confident supporting public events or representing the program at conferences.

A passion for sustainability, circular economy, or environmental education.
