Your Opportunity
As the Site Services Officer, Cleaner you will:
- Meet the daily requirements of the campus to ensure the site is presented in a clean and tidy state while providing a hygienic environment to students, staff and the general public.
This position reports to the Site Services Coordinator.
This is a Temporary Full-time opportunity to 26 June 2026 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at our Bundaberg campus, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- All work is performed safely and, in a manner, compliant with applicable legislation, and
- All cleaning materials, hazardous substances and equipment are securely stored and maintained in accordance with documented procedures.
- Undertake cleaning duties in accordance with cleaning schedules within classrooms, administration offices, workshops, and toilets.
- Maintain a sound understanding and working knowledge of health and safety legislation, processes and principles, ensuring that:
- Actively participate as a member of the Infrastructure and Site Services team, including attendance and contribution at team meetings and assisting with any other relevant duties, as required.
- Contribute to the success of cultural change within the organisation through promoting and modelling TAFE Queensland’s core values and Code of Conduct and the established TAFE Queensland values of Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility, Showing Initiative, and Safety First.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team, make decisions, solve problems, and meet deadlines as required.
- Demonstrated experience and ability in performing duties of a cleaning nature in a multi-functional organisation, including knowledge of contemporary cleaning practices.
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, safe work practices and a sound understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to undertake cleaning responsibilities with minimum supervision.

- There are no mandatory requirements for this role.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning position
- Possession of relevant qualifications
