About the role

As a Cabinet Maker with Nordic Design Furniture, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, bespoke furniture pieces for our discerning clientele. Working in our well-equipped workshop in Magill, SA, you will play a crucial role in bringing our designers' visions to life through your exceptional woodworking skills and attention to detail. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work alongside a talented team of artisans and contribute to the creation of stunning, functional pieces that will grace the homes of our customers.

What you'll be doing

Interpreting design specifications and technical drawings to produce custom cabinetry, shelving, and other furniture items

Selecting appropriate materials and wood types to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship

Operating a variety of power tools and woodworking equipment with precision and safety

Collaborating with the design team to problem-solve any technical or practical challenges

Ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and within agreed timelines

Maintaining a clean, organised and well-maintained workshop environment

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in cabinet making or a related trade, such as a Certificate III in Cabinet Making

Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a cabinet maker, ideally in a custom furniture or high-end residential setting

Excellent woodworking skills, including the ability to read technical drawings and operate a range of power tools

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with designers and clients

Passion for furniture design and a keen eye for aesthetics
