Job description:
Working closely with the Head of Intellectual Property, you will provide essential administrative support across IP management, financial and statistical reporting, and contract administration. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain in-house experience in a fast-paced environment focused on child health and commercialisation.
Your responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain our Inteum IP database, ensuring all patent, trademark, and contract information is accurate and up-to-date
- Support patent prosecution processes, including invention disclosures, deadline monitoring, and correspondence
- Assist with trademark applications and renewals, liaising with external attorneys and managing international filings
- Oversee the IP inbox and assist with task coordination and communications across the organisation
- Handle budgeting, invoice tracking, and commercial income reporting related to IP activities
- Generate detailed reports on patent portfolios and commercial income for internal teams
What we're looking for
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in database management and software applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Analytical mindset with strong research and problem-solving skills
Desirable skills
- Science degree or equivalent
- Understanding of patent systems and IP protection processes
- Familiarity with IP and contract databases like Inteum, Inprotech, or LEX
