Are you a talented Occupational Therapist looking to make a significant impact within regional communities?

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist who is ready for a new adventure. As the Occupational Therapist, you will be able to provide, plan and deliver comprehensive, high quality patient care to our regional Griffith community members in our brand new, state-of-the-art, Griffith Base Hospital Emergency Short Stay Unit.

About the role:

As the Occupational Therapist you will play a vital role in the multidisciplinary team within the Emergency Short Stay Unit to provide assessment, treatment and early discharge planning for patients who require short term treatment and care.

You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient flow and provide timely patient discharges. Working alongside an enthusiastic and dedicated team of Doctors, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Health Support staff to deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to the Griffith community.

Within this position you will also work with the wider hospital Occupational Therapy and Allied Health team to support with inpatient care, discharge planning and contributing to contemporary models of care.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

A Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration under the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

High level of knowledge, skills, clinical experience and ability in Occupational Therapy practice to provide patient-centred, evidence-based services.

Excellence in effective communication and interpersonal skills with a keen focus on teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
