My client is an established CA firm in the CBD and are seeking their next Supervisor / Assistant Manager. They are a modern accounting and business advisory firm with 40+ staff and have developed a strong reputation in the marketplace demonstrated by a growing client base ranging across SMEs, large consolidated groups, HNW family groups, investments and SMSFs.

Role

Reporting to a partner, you’ll be working in a compliance and review capacity with exposure to advisory projects. This role will require you to be involved closely with your clients in order to facilitate their compliance requirements and to achieve their business objectives through value-add/advisory services.

This role will suit someone who is looking to become a manager in the next 12-18 months.

Some responsibilities include:

Managing portfolio of approximately $500k in fees

Preparation and review of financial statements tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, SMSFs and various group structures

Attending to taxation matters including Div7A, GST, FBT & CGT and small business concessions

Working with clients on future business decisions including structuring, tax planning and tax strategies

Management of workflow and resolution of issues that arise

Applicants

Approximately 5 years (or more) Australian business services and tax experience

CA qualified or upon completion

Strong accounting systems proficiency and ability to adapt to new ones

Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to the client facing nature of role
