FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work across multiple entities in a growing group structure.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial management of the group. Your focus will be on accuracy, compliance, and delivering clear, actionable insights to support leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing BAS, GST, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance across multiple states.

Monthly payroll and commission calculations

Managing month-end and year-end processes

Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers and intercompany accounts.

Supporting data entry for agent deal reporting

Assisting with financial compilation and reporting for new joint ventures and expansion projects.

Overseeing and assisting with trust accounting practices for real estate transactions.

Driving process improvements to create efficiencies across finance systems.

Working with and supporting external bookkeepers and trust accountants.

Assisting with data entry projects and analysis

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within real estate or a multi-entity business environment.

Solid understanding of Australian tax compliance, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and payroll tax.

Proficiency in Xero and strong Excel skills.

High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
