Vacupack Pty Ltd. requires a full-time accountant for employment in Moorabbin. You need to have the right attitude and skills with at least 3 years of relevant experience and a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Multilingual with good command of English and Sinhala. Has working knowledge of the ERP program M1. Experience of working in a manufacturing site with vacuum forming process. Base salary of $77,000 + super for this full-time position.

You will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks.

Main duties

· Assisting in formulating budgets.

· Preparing financial statements for presentation to directors and management.

· Examining operating costs and organization’s income and expenditure.

· Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

· Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.

· Providing financial advice on business plans and operations.

· Maintaining internal control systems.

· Maintaining Accounting systems and advising on the selection and application of computer based Accounting system. M1

· Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

· Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

· Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

· Overview of BAS and Income tax returns preparation for submission to external accountants.

· Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

· Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

· Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.

· Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

· Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

· Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities.

· Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.

· Overview of payrolls and controlling income and expenditure.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor of Finance

· Minimum three years relevant work experience

· Multilingual English & Sinhala

· Experience using ERP Program M1

· Exposure/Experience with Vacuum forming process & plastic injection process.
