Catholic Early Learning & Care (CELC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Leader to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team at both Holy Cross and St Thereses.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who is passionate about inspiring children, supporting colleagues, and leading a vibrant and engaging learning environment.

As the Educational Leader, you will guide the pedagogical direction of the service, ensuring our program reflects the principles of the My Time, Our Place School Age Care Framework, aligns with the National Quality Framework (NQF), and provides children with opportunities to explore, discover, and grow in a safe and inclusive space.

Working collaboratively with the OSHC Coordinator and the educator team, you’ll provide mentorship, model reflective practice, and ensure that each child’s voice is heard and valued within the program.

  • A part-time roster offering 20–25 hours per week during school terms (typically between 1:00pm–6:00pm).
  • Extended hours available during vacation care programs.
  • Educational Leader allowance on top of your regular educator rate.
  • A workplace grounded in Catholic values of respect, inclusion, and care for all.

  • Lead program design and evaluation aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework, ensuring learning experiences are purposeful, child-led, and reflective of the children’s diverse interests and abilities.
  • Mentor and guide educators, supporting them to engage in critical reflection, professional dialogue, and ongoing learning.
  • Collaborate with the educator team to plan, document, and evaluate the program cycle using the service’s digital platform (OWNA).
  • Promote inclusive and culturally responsive practice, ensuring all children feel valued, respected, and supported to participate meaningfully.
  • Engage families and the community, building strong relationships that enrich the curriculum and strengthen children’s sense of belonging.
  • Monitor and assess children’s learning and wellbeing, documenting their progress through observations, reflections, and feedback.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by supporting the team to identify goals, evaluate outcomes, and celebrate achievements.
  • Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and the National Quality Standard.

About You

You are a motivated and reflective educator who thrives on supporting others to succeed. You bring a child-centred approach, creativity in program development, and confidence in leading best practice within the OSHC environment.
