Overview
This role involves leading and maintaining the organisation’s AML/CTF programme to ensure compliance with Australian laws and regulations. It requires a hands-on approach to risk assessment, policy development, and regulatory reporting. The AML/CTF Officer will support a culture of integrity and risk-awareness within the organisation.
Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in AML/CTF compliance within financial services or payments sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the AML/CTF Act, AUSTRAC regulations, and related industry standards.
• Proven ability to design and manage AML/CTF programmes.
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Risk or similar.

Nice to Have Skills

• AML/CTF certification (e.g., ACAMS, ICA or equivalent).
• Experience liaising with AUSTRAC or other regulatory authorities.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and PCI PIN standards.
• Familiarity with card scheme rules and RITS regulations.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Risk or related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in AML/CTF roles within payments or financial services sectors.

• Authority to address AML/CTF concerns proactively.
• Ability to stay current with legislative and industry changes and implement necessary updates.
