We’re partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary building services contractor with a strong national presence across commercial, healthcare, and defence projects.

Due to continued growth within their Perth division, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of complex D&C projects.

About the Role
Working within a high-performing engineering team, you’ll take ownership of mechanical services design across a diverse range of large-scale projects. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure all mechanical systems are delivered to the highest technical and compliance standards.

This role is ideally suited to a technically strong engineer who enjoys the full D&C project lifecycle — from concept and design development through to site support and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical services design for D&C projects across commercial, healthcare, and defence sectors.
• Produce and review detailed design documentation, calculations, and specifications.
• Work closely with internal design, drafting, and project teams to deliver coordinated and compliant solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project outcomes align with expectations.
• Oversee design validation, commissioning support, and performance verification.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in building services mechanical design.
• Strong background in chilled-water system design and large-scale D&C project delivery.
• Experience with smoke management system design is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to engineering delivery.
• Chartered (or working towards CPEng) status desirable.
