About Diag-Nose.io

We are an early-stage biotech startup on a mission to build the future of respiratory care

Diag-Nose.io is an early-stage biotech startup building the future of respiratory care.
Our mission is to transform how respiratory diseases are diagnosed and treated through AI and multi-omics. We are developing RhinoMAP, a precision medicine platform that helps patients receive the right treatment faster—or enables discovery of new drugs when none exist. Our vision is that every patient, anywhere, can breathe freely and live fully.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support both our clinical and laboratory programs in developing precision tools for respiratory disorders. This dual role provides experience across clinical site coordination and lab-based assay execution, working closely with a clinical researcher and senior scientist.

Hands-on laboratory skills are essential, including the ability to run experiments and troubleshoot with guidance. Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a passion for impactful research are key. You will be supported in developing expertise across both domains.

About You

Relationship-builder: Strong communication and teamwork, able to collaborate effectively with clinical sites and internal teams.

Experienced in clinical research: Degree in life sciences or related field with prior patient recruitment or study coordination experience.

Patient recruitment genius: You excel in recruiting participants through community outreach, targeted advertising, social media, and healthcare provider referrals. You know how to build strong relationships with community groups and design effective campaigns that attract specific patient populations.

Lab wizard: You follow protocols precisely to generate robust data and understand immunoassay principles well enough to troubleshoot. You have the hands-on skills and experience to provide operational support for R&D experiments.

Technical communicator (desirable): Proven ability to translate complex clinical and technical concepts into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences, including scientific manuscripts, white papers, and social media. A strong publication record, attention to detail, and solid understanding of data analysis are highly valued.

What You Will Be Spending Your Time On:

1. Patient Recruitment and Site Relationships (~20% of your time)

Bringing patients to our sites: Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit patients to our clinical sites, ensuring timely and adequate enrolment for ongoing studies.

Site engagement: Work closely with existing sites to optimize recruitment efforts, providing necessary support and resources to enhance patient enrolment.

Lead generation: engaging with clinicians to assist with building relationships

2. EDC Maintenance and Site Support (~40% of your time)

Site support: Work closely with existing sites to optimize internal processes, providing necessary support and resources to enhance clinician experience.

EDC Maintenance: Oversee and conduct preliminary analysis on data collected via our Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and smooth operation throughout the study lifecycle.

3. Technical Laboratory Skills (~40% of your time)

Perform and support Luminex and Olink analyses of clinical samples (e.g., nasal fluid, blood, saliva) with care, ensuring sample integrity and adherence to biosafety standards

Collaborate with the senior scientist to design and carry out pilot experiments that expand our multi-omics capabilities; future opportunities may also involve LC-MS, microbiology, cell culture and other multi-omics laboratory techniques

Apply basic statistical approaches to evaluate assay results and support data interpretation, maintain precise documentation.

Why You Might Not Like This Role:

High independence: If you prefer a role with constant supervision and guidance, this position might not be for you. We expect a high level of autonomy and the ability to manage complex tasks independently.

Fast-paced and dynamic environment: Working at an early-stage means that priorities can shift quickly. If you prefer a more stable and predictable work environment, this role might be challenging.

In Your First 6 Weeks, You Will Have

Understood our trial processes and lab workflows.

Built relationships with clinical site staff.

Contributed to improvements in recruitment and data workflows.

Performed initial immunoassay support and sample handling

Why You Should Join Diag-Nose.io

Joining Diag-Nose.io means collaborating with a dedicated team to tackle significant challenges in respiratory health. You'll have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on our research and development efforts, contributing to advancements that will benefit patients worldwide.

We’re dedicated to making respiratory healthcare equitable and accessible to all. Diversity, inclusion, and respect drive how we work and innovate. While we may not always get it perfect, our people and patients always come first.

Perks & Benefits

Equity: Every team member shares in our success.

Extra leave: Additional paid days for rest and personal matters.

Learning stipend: Annual allowance for professional development.

Flexible hours: Balance remote and in-office work.

Competitive salary: Reflecting your skills and impact.
