About the Role:

As our Workshop Leading Hand, you will:

Lead and manage workshop & field service teams to drive efficiency and performance

Oversee maintenance, servicing, and repairs to keep fleet downtime under 10%

Ensure workplace health & safety best practices and compliance

Coordinate parts, consumables, and GPS component setups

Monitor and improve workshop processes, workflow, and team productivity

Conduct performance reviews, training, and mentorship to build a strong, capable team

Ensure accurate reporting and communication with senior management

About You:

Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter/Mechanic

Experience in leadership

Strong problem-solving & decision-making skills

Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage workflow efficiently

Excellent time management & organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently

Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery

Valid driver’s license (HC advantageous)

Following Skills Are Advantageous:

Experience in hydraulics and electrical circuits

Prior experience in the Heavy Plant Machinery Industry

Automotive Air Conditioning license

Auto Electrical experience and diagnostic skills

GPS knowledge and installation experience
