We are a growing family owned service, looking for our next leader! We are an amazing team of educators looking for a long day care service Director/Nominated Supervisor (ECT preferred) to join our team!

Our recently newly established renovated centre is a 50 place that has an excellent reputation within the North Turramurra community as well as with families and its team of educators. We are looking for a committed, passionate and enthusiastic leader to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

Manage and enhance the overall operations of the centre and ensure compliance with exceeding levels of compliance with childcare regulations at all times.

Maintain a high quality of the service in line with the NQF and EYLF, including Workcover and fair work legislation

Leading and mentoring a team of inspiring educators, providing guidance, support and ongoing professional development opportunities

Take control of Administrative duties including but not limited to emails, accounts, waitlist management, communications and enrolments

Maintaining family relationships and the local community fostering relationships with local organisations, businesses and community leaders to enhance the centres reach and impact

Driving the delivery of high -quality educational leading program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Foster a positive, nurturing and respectful team culture

Strong leadership, organisational and program-solving abilities

Plan and execute a diverse range of programs and events that address the needs and interests of the children and community

Continue to plan and develop and implement the centres current self assessment plan to an exceeding level and oversee and manage the services critical reflection process in line with the services self assessment plan/QIP

Manage rostering and performance with a common sense and child safe approach

Requirements for the role

Available 5 days per week for full time (Essential)

Previous experience in using childcare software (OWNA knowledge a bonus!)

Knowledge of educational leading requirements to ensure Q1 requirements meet the exceeding standard requirements

Thorough knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard requirements

Minimum of 2 years hand on experience as a Director/Nominated supervisor - written and/or references required from previous roles leadership team

Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as a Director, Nominated Supervisor, or Assistant Director in a long day care centre

Current Nominated Supervisor approval from NSW Department of Education or ability to obtain approval

Current Nominated Supervisor approval from ACECQA (Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority) or ability to obtain approval within 1 months of commencement

WWCC and current police check (must be valid and up to date)

Current first aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (must be valid and up-to-date)

Current first aid (HLTAID012), CPR (HLTAID009), Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certifications - all must be valid for at least 6 months from start date

Safe sleep training

Food safety supervisor qualification

WHS and manual handling certifications

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (essential)

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Early Childhood Teacher qualification)

Australian work rights (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)

Experience managing a centre with 50+ children
