Uniting Communities is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people experiencing disadvantage. Our Streetlink Plus program supports people affected by homelessness and alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues with trauma-informed, integrated support.
We are now seeking a Counsellor / Case Manager to join our passionate multidisciplinary team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in community outreach, is experienced in AOD support, and wants to help people reclaim control of their lives.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing AOD counselling to individuals, families, and groups
Offering case management services grounded in trauma-informed care and recovery models
Delivering outreach support across community and home settings
Facilitating referrals, case conferences, and support across health, housing, and justice systems
Supporting clients through Police Drug Diversion, Clean Needle Programs, and community development activities
Advocating for and empowering clients to re-engage with community
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science, or equivalent
Experience in AOD counselling or case management
Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions, co-morbidity, and recovery models
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Understanding of homelessness and the SA community services landscape
Ability to work independently and across systems with compassion and resilience
A current Driver’s Licence, National Police Clearance, and Working with Children Check
Desirable:
Certificate IV in AOD
Experience delivering training or presentations
Diversity or cultural competency training
