About the role

We are seeking an experienced Truck and dog Driver to join the team at Newcastle Demolition. This is a full-time role based in Newcastle NSW 2300. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from demolition sites, playing a vital role in the success of our operations.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate and maintain heavy vehicles such as semi-trailers and rigid trucks

Load, transport, and unload demolition materials and equipment

Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately

Adhere to all road rules, safety regulations, and company policies

Assist with general site duties as required

Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of your assigned vehicle

What we're looking for

A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

Demonstrated experience driving large commercial vehicles, ideally in a construction or demolition environment

Strong knowledge of road rules and safety regulations

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

A commitment to safe work practices and a proactive approach to safety

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
