We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated, experienced, and reliable Wood Machinist / CNC Operator.

Qualifications & experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC operating and machine setup procedures.

Experience in operating edge banders.

Current forklift licence (preferred for material handling duties)

Tasks & responsibilities

Maintain and operate Biesse Rover A CNC machine and other cutting and sanding machines for planing, turning, shaping, and sanding

Set up and operate the Edge Bander machine

Set up and operate the Altendorf saw

Operate jigsaw

Interpret drawings and configure machinery to achieve precise specifications

Ensure minimal material wastage

Identify and communicate to the Workshop Manager any foreseeable problems with the drawings

Determine tooling and machine requirements and the sequence of operations

High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability

Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and delivery schedules

Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment

Maintain and operate CNC machines to cut, plane, turn, shape, and sand work pieces.
