Your opportunity
We are seeking a Workforce Utilisation and Operational Support Business Partner to join our Corporate Operations and Continuous Improvement team. This role is instrumental in enhancing workforce rostering practices across the front-line service delivery team, developing centralised rostering and scheduling solutions and driving operational efficiency through strategic partnering.

You'll work closely with people leaders, managing cross-functional change projects for Corporate Services that improve existing business processes, workforce systems and connections across teams. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, effective rostering techniques and business partnering this position offers the opportunity to influence national workforce systems and contribute to the development of tools, resources, and insights that elevate service delivery standards.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Facilitate and implement workforce utilisation, scheduling, and rostering processes within MyTime (Kronos), supporting the transition from local to centralised rostering practices across services.
  • Collaborate with people leaders to implement strategic changes, deliver education and training, and support the adoption of new policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-organisational projects aligned with business plan priorities, ensuring successful delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships centred on business partnering with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Continuously assess and improve workforce systems and business practices, providing feedback for enhancements and contributing to the development of reports and insights for leaders.

Requirements for success

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in workforce utilisation, scheduling, or operational support, ideally within Community Services, Health, Housing, or similarly complex environments.
  • Minimum two years' experience in rostering/scheduling or workforce planning, with a strong understanding of time and attendance systems and employee contractual obligations.
  • Proven ability to manage change and lead projects, including coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering initiatives within tight timeframes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing work plans, interpreting data, and producing high-quality reports and insights.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics, influence stakeholders, and deliver training to senior leaders.
  • High level of customer service orientation, with experience resolving enquiries in help desk or call centre environments and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity, juggle competing priorities, and maintain confidentiality while building effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.

Your benefits

  • Rewarding work - every day you know you're making a real difference
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via AccessPay)
  • Free external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave
  • Extra leave including: Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off
