Your Role
- Accurately and efficiently code inpatient episodes to meet internal quotas and support external submissions.
- Participate in quality activities, monthly coding meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with your team to continuously improve coding standards and processes.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Classifications for this position will range from Health Information Manager Grade 1- 2 JA3 - JB1 ($74,172 - $103,724 per annum pro rata)

You will be supported in your role by a friendly, experienced, supportive team of 30 HIMs/Clinical coders, coding educators and coding auditors.
Successful applicants will have opportunity to work remotely or from our department on vibrant Gertrude Street, Fitzroy.
Your Contribution
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Health Information Management or recognised Clinical Coding qualification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience tertiary hospital casemix (desirable)
- Experience in use of 3M Codefinder software
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eligibility for full registration with the Health Information Management Association of Australia (desirable)
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
