The role of Human Resource Officer provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, enthusiastic, and eager to develop their HR experience. You’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks, including preparing HR documents, maintaining records, recruitment and onboarding, coordinating compliance checks, and supporting various HR initiatives. If you have a keen eye for detail, learn quickly, and bring a can-do attitude, you’ll enjoy the chance to grow your HR career in a positive and collaborative workplace.

This position is based in Darwin but will require travel to Wadeye as required.

About You:

• Cert IV in Human Resources and/or relevant experience in HR and administration desirable
• Knowledge of awards, Enterprise Agreements & Fairwork legislation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps including word, excel, TEAMS & SharePoint
• Experience with Employment Hero HR & Payroll desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and records
• High level customer service skills with a focus on providing high quality HR support to Managers and staff
• Strong organisational skills and action oriented
• Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
• Experience and understanding of working respectfully with culturally and linguistically diverse clients in remote Indigenous communities.

Essential Licences / Clearances

• National Police check
• Current NT Ochre Card (working with children check) (or willingness to obtain)
• NLC Work permit (with assistance)
