This hands-on role is mainly in our housekeeping team, helping keep our park spotless and our accommodation guest-ready. Business Overview
Amberlee is a resort-style family holiday park nestled on 25 acres of native bushland on the Mornington Peninsula. We offer self-contained cabins and villas, camping sites with private ensuites, annual holiday homes, and over 55’s community living. Our facilities are designed to maximise opportunities for families to make memories at Amberlee, these include swimming pools, an aquatic playground, mini-golf course, adventure playgrounds, sports courts (tennis, basketball), bush walking spaces, and more. The Role
As a valued member of our small, family-friendly team, you’ll enjoy a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From welcoming guests at reception to keeping our grounds and cabins looking their best, your contribution will directly shape the guest experience.
Housekeeping – Help ensure our cabins, site ensuites, shared spaces, café and laundry facilities are maintained to the highest standards, while managing linen and supporting general maintenance or safety issues.
Reception – As the primary relief support for our office managers you will be required to greet guests with a smile, assist with seamless check-in/check-out, manage reservations via Newbook (training provided), and handle enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
Food & Beverage – Assist in our café by preparing and serving snacks, drinks, and barista coffee, while maintaining hygiene, stock levels, and compliance with food safety standards.
Health & Safety – Work in line with Amberlee’s policies and procedures to keep yourself, your teammates, and our guests safe at all times.
Key Responsibilities
With a primary role of housekeeping this diverse role will also see you take on a variety of tasks to support both our guests and the smooth running of the park:
Housekeeping & Presentation
Clean and maintain cabins, villas, ensuites, laundry, and shared spaces to a high standard.
Support with linen handling, lifting of supplies, and restocking.
Keep common areas tidy, welcoming, and comfortable for guests.
Report issues, concerns, and stock levels to the office management team
Guest Services & Reception
Welcome and assist guests, manage check-in/check-out, and respond to enquiries.
Handle reservations and accounts using Newbook software (training provided).
Assist and direct visitors within the park, providing helpful information.
Relief Cover- being onsite and covering reception in the manager's absence
Manage guest requests, feedback, and maintenance reports, escalating issues promptly to management where needed.
Café, Grounds & General Duties
Serve snack, drinks, and barista coffee in the café.
Maintain café cleanliness and restock drinks, snacks, and supplies.
Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and invoicing.
Operate the POS system, handling cash and card payments accurately.
Assist with light groundskeeping (sweeping, raking, weeding, emptying bins, clearing debris).
Support the upkeep of facilities and amenities, including basic pool maintenance (training provided).
Contribute to the safe, well-kept, and inviting appearance of the park.
Team Contribution & Flexibility
Work together with your teammates to create a positive guest experience.
Contribute to a positive team environment and be flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and peak holiday periods.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a mix of practical skills, flexibility, and a genuine passion for creating great guest experiences.
You’ll need:
A current Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
A Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or willing to obtain)
Availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster, including some weekends
Physically fit to carry out cleaning duties, lift items, and work outdoors
You’ll shine if you have:
Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly, professional manner
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and pride in cleanliness and presentation
A friendly, professional manner and excellent presentation
Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive, can-do attitude
Confidence with computers (Newbook experience a bonus)
Cash handling and basic admin skills
Previous hospitality or cleaning experience (desirable, not essential)
First Aid/CPR certification (a plus)
Knowledge of the local area and tourism industry (a bonus)

Paid under the Hospitality Award at a casual rate of $33.38 per hour (inc. casual loading) *penalty rates apply on weekends and public holidays.
